-We are going to go back to an online auction the first half of November and the live auction at my house (the date for the conclusion will be Wednesday, November 16 at my house/6:30 p.m.)
-For every item you WIN in the Big Auction, you get a chance to win an iPad. The person who donated the item will also get a chance to win an iPad
-Unlike previous years where everything starts at a buck and we were encouraging people to get involved by bidding, this one will have sensible minimum bids of $50 (which is only a portion of the value of these items). Addtionally, if any of the lots go for $75 or more, the winner will get a second chance drawing (as will the person who donated the item).
-We will draw for the iPad on the night of the Big Auction conclusion (11/16)
-The model we will be giving away is the 16g WIFI version ($499 retail). We will order this after you win, so if you want to upgrade (memory wise or select a 3g model, etc) you can do so...you just pay the difference over $499
-Since Darin and Scott are defintely getting their iPad, if they win in the random drawing, their brother Mark will get it. That to me seems only fair...he also does some work on the site and you hate to have one brother not getting one when the other two do.
-Only AFL owners are eligible to participate...if you have a friend that wants to bid, have them do it through you.
-I am going to be up-front and tell you that the winner must get the iPad (there is no, "you know what, I'll take the cash instead" it's an iPad or nothing)...if you really don't want one, I'll plan on keeping it for a spare for me for all of my hard work.
